Screw blurring out your plates. Nobody is going to come rape you.

The 1.8t looks awesome! Very well done. The pictures are equaly amazing.

Any mods or planned mods for the turbo?

Shiny.....

That's an awesome Jetta. I like it a lot more than the 2005.5 ones; that Audi-inspired front grille is not only tacky with the plastic chrome but makes parking in the street just downright dangerous.

Very nice...I love Jettas!

yes... looks very clean and shiny.... any mods on in it?

Very nice Jetta, tasteful pics too.

I am wondering though... how is it you manage to take pics from the side without being reflected on the doors? :

ie. the last pic.

Meh it's the internet.

The Jetta isn't a bad looking car, it's just to bad that they don't offer it with at least a V6.

I don't see it on the VW site, I only see the 2.4L and the 1.9L.

Yah you're right. I guess they didn't carry it over for the ugly new body style. The body style of Nexus's was available in a V6 though.

Yeah, the new Jetta doesn't look at good as Nexus'. The new Jetta's power is pretty sad for a new car, only 150hp with the gasoline engine and 100hp with the diesel engine and they didn't even bother to list the torque.

Posted by: NextelsOnly

I have to say, the TDI is awesome. My buddy has a 5-Speed 2001 Jetta w/the TDI and he gets 45 MPG and it drives pretty cool. It also sounds cool. Not exactly a hotrod, but he is constantly driving 85 miles to college, so it's a great commuting car.

Posted by: boost_i95

That car is awesome! Man, i miss my jetta. It wasnt as nice as this one, but i loved it.

MK4 series does have V6 engine - it called VR6, 200 HP.

But I would say that 1.8 Turbo is more fun. It has a lot of potential, very easy to mod. Just a chip alone is adding about 35-40 HP. No BS. Other things, like bigger downpipe and catback exhaust also not very expensive, but very effective on that engine. VR6 is more $$$ to customize. But it's a great bulletproof engine. Desing wise, I think MK4 model will still stay fresh for a long time since it has very clean lines and proportions are just right. But I am not going to get MK5 for sure. Even it still a German car and drives like one, but design it's just not my style. I think, I'll jump to Audi bandwagon after this one, but maybe I'll keep it for a little longer (too much sweat in it already )

Thanks Actually, stock Mk4 design it's not something extraordinary, but has a lot of potential to be a head-turner if done tastefuly. I don't see personaly the same potential in MK5. I've seen couple of them with a bodykit, big rims, tinted. Still... It doesn't look like a German car anymore. More like Toyota series. I am not trying to flame Toyota here or any Japaniese car in fact, but all German cars use to have a deffinitive look, so if you see one on the road you can say: yeah, this is German...

From all new models I think new SAAB is the best, still retains clean lines and specific Euro look. Another my favorite is new Acura TL. I am not talking about dream cars here

Not MADE, ASSEMBLED. All parts are made mainly in Germany, Hungary etc. I don't have any problems with Mexico. The assembly quality is not worse or better that anywhere else. Mine is assembled in Mexico and I have 0 problems with it (knowck on the wood). Friend of mine got German assembled 1.8T Wagon and also, no porbs. However, the other guy with German Wagon is in the dealship service bay almost every 2 months. So...
