I can just about guarantee that if you get a Cingular SMT5600, they will make you switch to a Cingular plan. On Cingular, the Blackberry plans are independent from the data plans, FYI. Best course of action, just go in and ask them at a Cingular Store (and I would advise you to use a life-long Cingular store, and NOT a Blue to Orange converted store)
