you need a BT adapter for the computer, so your computer can see your phone.

once you have a BT adapter for your computer then you can connect your phone with computer using the BT adapter

Yes that is a BT adapter, Never tried that particular brand but it looks like other people say its okay. the drivers will come with the Adapter that you will load on your PC so then you can connect your phone with PC without the cable.

also another question.....when they say 100m range, does that mean i can go downstairs and it will still work? does the connectivity go through walls?

Well that is their claim that it will work 100M (300ft) but I have never seen it go that far, you have alot of interference to think of (wireless mouse, keyboard, cordless phone if it is 2.4Gig or 5.8Gig) some people say it only works with-in 10m range or 30 feet.

So it all depends what type of interference you have in your house to how far you can go and still connect to your phone.

Yeah, that "100m" range is kind of deceptive.

What it means is, if you have one Class 1 (100m) adapter and another Class 1 adapter, you CAN communicate UP TO 100 meters apart. This does not factor in little things like walls or furniture though.

The adapter that is built into the MPx220 is a Class 2 adapter I believe. That class of transceiver is only powerful enough to send/receive over a 10 meter radius.

If you're in the same room as your bluetooth equipped computer, you will probably be able to maintain a bluetooth connection. Beyond that, there's no telling.
