So I was just checking out the website for Eurotel in the Czech Republic. They have a BLACK MPx220 available...

http://www.mobilgo.cz/jnp/en/goPack...id=332&search=1

It is strange though, it is only triband...

That converts to $471.78 US dollars...without the contract of course.

I thought the Ox Blood was the "black" option, but obviously there is a Black OEM case also. I used to have the Ox Blood MPx220 (a beta) before it came out... The battery life was terrible. From what I've read there have been improvements to the device as a whole. I might have to go back and try one out.

It is somewhere around $450 US.

If you go here and look at their specs http://www.eurotel.cz/jnp/en/phones...tml?phoneId=332 You will se they only list 3 bands. An operator can lock out a band on their phone. AT&T did it with the MPx200's that were sold in the US.

the oxblood im guessing has a bit of red in it?

ive never seen that color up close in person... the black housings on ebay, are they "oxblood" too or pure black?

i bought my mpx220 in the uk, and after browsing the forums and various sites, decided to go for the black version, which from the pics on the sites, was a very dark red/black colour, hence the 'ox-blood'
but what i ended up with was what youd initially see as pure absolute black, but if you put it under direct sunlight, it does have red metallic bits, however it still doesnt look like the 'ox-blood' pictures on the sites out there. maybe its the lighting?
if you want a better indication of this, search for the mpx220 review by bengalboy in these forums.
hope this clears it for you guys

As I mentioned in this post, I recently purchased a "black" MPX220, which seemed closer to black than I expected, given all the posts & web pictures I'd seen. After paying more attention to it over the past couple of days, I tend to agree with osmosis8938... it's as if the phone is black, but it does have a slight reddish/brownish sheen to it that often isn't seen unless viewed under the right light, and the right angle. Mostly noticeable in sunlight or flourescent lighting. FWIW, I bought mine on ebay through cellz4less for $367 by the time I paid freight, but it included a car charger, holster, and stereo headset. It's definitely a European version: the phone was set up with a language I didn't recognize (not German, maybe Denmark), and the wall charger is designed for their outlets, but it also came the the necessary adapters to plug in to US outlets. Not a great solution if you use a wall adapter a lot, as the it results in the charger not sitting flush against the outlet, but I already had the US charger, so for me, it's just a spare in case I get to go to Europe some day.

I've had the ox blood MPx220... The picture of the Eurotel one is definitely not ox blood. They are black... I've got some friends in Prague. I might have them buy me one and ship it over...
