Bell system access fee? new plan

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

i got offered a bell corp plan and in fine print it says system access fee + 911 apply so that would kill the whole plan.

100min
unlim night/we (6-8)
free caller id
20 free calls to one number
6months long distance something
3months unlim local
For $22.80/month + tax

free headset, car charger, head set

and various phones for $0-100

i thought bell got rid of saf and 911?
when i compare it to other current deals its not really any better cause it would be around $30 anyways.

Yep, for EPP/INDV and CORP accounts, the default rate plans still have 911 and SAF fees.

You should note that if your plan is an EPP, it is probably eligible for other promos including the Business All-In-One rate plan, which is 25$ for 100d minutes and N&W (8PM clock though). This one doesn't have SAF or 911.

^ Bell ddoes have the SAF on a lot of their plans (ld ect). I don't think that they are even sure what they want to do.

It's clear what they want to do, but they haven't switched all their plans over to All-In-One yet. The concept is just starting to gain acceptance and be clearer to the masses, they are slowly converting all their plans to All-In-Ones. The smallbiz plans are now AIO too, the business canada plans are next, and EPP/INDV & CORP will probably be last, since these plans have to be renegociated with all employers and associations.

so if i sign with this, and something better roles around im screwed basically?
my company switched from rogers corp to bell for some reason, i still have a 4 year old corp that hasnt been canceled...

150mins
unlim eve/weekends (7pm-8am)
caller id
for $25 +saf/911 tax

If they renegociate a new EPP plan with Bell, they you'll always be able to switch to that plan anytime. You do not have a contract with any specific plan - do note however, that promos like the one I mentionned above are for new activations only, so you wouldn't be able to switch onto it, but if the default rate plan for your EPP changes, you can get that anytime you want.

I understand that this was the intial plan from bell, to switch all the plans to AIO... However, due to a general lack of interests from the "masses" this plan is now in jepordy.

ALL plans will be All-In plans eventually...customers prefer to know what they are REALLY paying for their service...not told one thing, then slapped with numerous monthly fees on top of that price.

think about a car being the same way.

2005 Honda Accord: $25,000*

*plus General Honda Maintenance Fee: $6950
*plus Warranty Service Fee: $750

Your Price will actually be: $32,700
Thank you for buying a Honda.

^ I see your point... But bad example though. Remeber that Honda and Toyota (companies that do that) are much more profatable than their competators and are winning more customers than their competition is.

i worded it incorectly... it should be... "included the saf and 911 within the total monthly fee..."

they didn't do that though. they made new plans which have no hidden fees.

oh the fees are there, they're just buried.. there is nothing saying SAF but they're still getting the money they want

they're just being upfront with the customer about what the customer will pay and rounding it to a nice number

i don't look at it that way. i just look at it as that is the price of the plan. some reps say it includes the fees. well no that is the price of the plan. if you say it includes the fees then the whole "no hidden fees" thing goes right out the window.
