Any other new phones coming to cingular? Any other posters ?

I am planning to buy a new phone from NBO for my wife and was wondering are there any which are Really COOL which I can expect in the next month or so..

Cool, i would consider getting one from Cingular but only if they change or upgrade something on the phone.

all we got was 2 black v3 posters to replace our silver v3 posters.. and again.. it says.. EXCLUSIVE.. does this mean big bucks for the black one to the consumer? only time will tell

howardforums.com has it for $319 unbranded/unlocked so I'm guessing Cingular will keep it at $199, but what the heck do I know?

Fry Electronics has the Cingular silver razr for $249 with no contract, so I'm guessing they'll bump that back up to $299 for the black one, or not.

we got an email sayin itll hit warehouse the 28th. but i doubt it.

Any new specs on the black versus the silver?

Posted by: VTECaddict

i think its just back instead of silver, otherwise completely identical.

A thought just occurred to me. How long will it be before someone tries to do a warranty exchange on a silver one that they decided to spraypaint black, either so they can get the black one in return or because they did a bad job painting it and ruined it?

Mark my words, it'll happen, sooner or later.

with my luck that person will come into my store.. silver box.. silver (well painted) black phone.. way over 30 days old.. no reciept complaining how i wont do the excahnge and im racially profiling him. -=\

Will the Balck version have Video capture and EDGE.
What will be main operational differences btwn silver/black
versions...

Everything I have seen and read indicates that the Cingular Black v3 will be identical to the silver one in all aspects.

No Edge, no video...

where did you hear it would be different?

According to a cnet review, the black v3 for cingular does have video recording.

Additional Features: Video clip recording, Intelligent typing (iTAP)

Hofo member CingularRox posted this picture in the motorola forum.

And according to cnet, the silver Razr has it as well

Additional Features Video clip recording, Intelligent typing (iTAP)

And we all know it doesn't....at least from the factory! Seems that cnet may have gotten an edited version of the silver one...or they just assumed that such an expensive phone has to have video...

I do not think that these are Cingular branded Black V3

No where on the sites do you see the Cingular logo.

Yeah but if you have ever looked on the silver V3 the only place the cingular logo is on that phone is on the battery cover and thats it, nowhere else and even there it is barely noticeable.

The Black V3 is already out in my area...

customer just left my store that activated a black razr on go phone. There is no video capture just playback. The phone is exactly the same just flat black.
