I have a VM Slider se47 MTV v5 edition... I was using it on my old carrier "windsong PCS" but they went out of business and now I can't get it to work on Virgin Mobiles network. I've tried programming everything that I can access through '111111'.... and nobody at VM seems to know why it wont work or they just can't fix it or are giving me a run around. Every time I try to make a call, after I have done the activation on VM... it give me a message: "We're sorry your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please hang up and try again. Windsong PCS message #3." So apparently Windsong did something? I don't know what. I used a Verizon image and tried making a call... went to Verizon network.. then switched it back to my old image and it still goes to windsong as expected. I'm lost.. please help.
thanks,

when you made your old vm image did it have the windsongPCS settings in their because if it does you should try redoing the nam settings manually.

I have reset all the NAM settings using the phone and using software. I also have tried changing my ESN to see if that was the problem... and it wasn't. Still connected to the Windsong whatever. I have no idea how phones really work but I have narrowed it a little in the software (Kycocera Wireless PST). In the 'preferred mode' setting... if I choose 'PCS CDMA Only' it uses Windsong. If I choose 'Cellular CDMA Only' it uses Verizon. 'Automatic' and 'Digital Only'... I believe they were both Windsong PCS - it was a couple of days ago that I tried it. So... is there another setting or a combination of settings to bypass this... it seems like there should be since it doesn't matter if I change my ESN. I dunno. Helllllpppp.

You need to load the VM PRL into the phone.

I have a bell mobile slider and want to change over to verizon service i currently am a verizon customer, but no one at verizon knows how to change the programming code to switch it over, can you be of any help to me? I tried the 111111 then programming and then entered 000000 and it just restarts the phone, I also tried 868666 and that made it got to what seems to be sprints network.

Put the phone on Verizons Pre-pay. It's much much much better then Virgin Mobile. Virgin Mobile is a company that has **** service ans screws you away from your money. They charge you for every little thing. To call customer service, to cheeck your balance, to retreive voicemail...exctra....Impulse is much better.
