hey all, i know its possible to flash the fireware on my e680 to the e680i firmware, but i have yet to find some clear direct instructions on how to actually do such a thing.. reason i ask, i wasn't going to at first but i met someone else with one (the 'i') and it was much better than i expected, and now would like to. anyone have a link (english please!) or can post instructions?

no. and we cant give you links to get PST cause thats illegal. you can go buy the software on the MPT (mobile phone tools) site i think.

I hope you got the unbranded C5_A4P which is the latest. C3_A8P is China mobile Branding and is slower than C5.

I agree the (i) flash is MUCH better than the normal E680 gui

yeah, dial WWW(wait, wait, wait,) 008, W

(you get the W from the menu > insert > insert wait)

WWW008W will pop up the firmware version for you.

currently, AEP looks to be the latest.

motorolafans.com seems to be a good (english) site, if you can't do CCmove in chinese to find out firmware info.

china has just released a new version it's called E680g, not sure whats the differences.
