I just got the BT800 from jabra and have run into a few problems with it connecting to my 650 when it rings. The incoming call will ring and when I pick it up it takes at least 15 seconds for the headset to connect to the phone. Any ideas on why this is ?
Thanks ahead

i regret to inform you, that although the jabra bt800 looks cool, and maybe great with other phones...with the treo 650 it preforms poorly..sorry...this is a common problem a lot of people have faced, and alast the only solution is to get a different model

It seems that other people have had success with the se line of head sets. I mean really is it so hard to get a head set that works the first time around, and not have to mail it back and then wait on a new one to come? Oh well enough of my crying
time to look for a new headset!

the treo 650 is ultra picky with what it likes...so far here is a general list of the most used headsets (no order)
Treo Wireless Headset (TWH)
SE HBH-660
SE HBH-662
SE HBH-300
Cardo Scala 500
Motorola HS850
Logitech Mobile Freedom
Logitech Mobile Pro
(Jabra BT250v)
The sad part is there is no perfect bluetooth headset for the treo...each of these listed headsets have a flaw in design or functionality which keeps it from being the best...

What about the treo headset? Aside from it not having the caller id screen, how does it stack up ? I have heard good things about the hbh-660. Eveveryone seems to say it connects immediately and is very well liked on the forum. I found it for 79.99 and I think that will be the one I go with.

i have the TWH...and I dont like it at all..i found it very slow to connect if it connected at all...but a lot of people have had different results which are much better...i am using the logitech mobile pro now..which is great
one thing though about the HBH 660, 662 300 and TWH...make sure you buy a set of jabra eargels (not the ones that come with the bt200 250 500) etc...reason being is that the volume on all of them are very low without the eargel

get the SE HBH-660 headset. it works great w/ the 650.

I had onne for all of 1 phone call - it just wasn't reliable enough. And, from reading the forums, I knew this but still bought one because of the caller id feature. I passed it to my son (works great with his razor) and I use a motorola HS850. I like it because it isn't always on so that bluetootth is sucking the life out of the battery. Simply open the boom mic and it's on, close it and its off. I find it extreemly comfortable, and it's very lightweight. Good battery life also

i thought i was the only one with headset problems. i ended up buying 3 headsets before coming up for the treo headset. wish palmone would've put a disclaimer on their website..

Well it seems as though I'm doomed to play the trial and error game until I get it just right, but at least i get to play with more gizmos !

I tried the Cardo Scala 500, Motorola HS820 and HS850, Jabra BT800, SE HBH-660 and Treo Wireless Headset (rebranded Jabra BT330). I'm sticking with the TWH, it's the best overall headset I've used with my 650 and it's relatively inexpensive.

I have the treo headset bought if from getyourtech.com it was 54.99 after shipping it came to 64.99. Works very well connects right away and transfers outgoing calls right to the headset without having to push any buttons. Malcomwireless also has it for 54.99 and there shipping is a bit quicker.

Well, I just recieved the trw in the mail and I love it. It get connects to the phone quickly, it answers calls immediately, and it sits comfortably on the ear. Minus the caller id, I think that Im going to be very pleased.
