Data Cable problems for SE44 Slider!!!

Hey guys, I just bought a data cable on ebay. It did not come with a driver, but my computer said it installed the new hardware. I want to put ringtones on my phone through the cable, but I dont know how. Please someone walk me through the process. Thanks!

you should search the forum first.
there's a file called se47.doc out there which is COMPLETE guide for putting ringtones and wallpapers.

it's really great file IF se44's processes are same as se47's.

don't know if they are.

just try to establish a connection with the phone via datacable... using the program called "Bitpim".

(searching Bitpim by google should do it)

I bought my data cable off ebay also, but it came with a driver cd. I followed the info in this thread and have successfully loaded ringtones and wallpaper.

I think you are using a USB cable, right? If so, I can give you a driver.

i bought the cable and driver from ebay to download my own ringtones from my computer to my phone. the driver is not being read by my computer, however. the usb is not being recognized either. i've tried "adding new hardware" to no avail. i've looked everywhere online for a driver or whatever piece i'm missing and am ending up finding nothing. please help, i feel like a dumb*ss.

I realize that once the driver works properly I can make my way down that list of steps, but as of yet, I cannot.

I need help with the cd that came with the USB cord or a new driver I think.
