Just took a look at my price sheet for july and saw that Cingular has a phone called a D307 made by Samsung. Anyone heard or know any info about this phone?

sounds like a motorola a630 but on samsungs end. Check out this web page

gotta be a type, nothing on samsungs site.there's a c207 and a p207. but nothing in the d's.

Haha they copied the hindge design of the MPx.... The Samsung SGH-D307 looks to be an awesome phone, with BT and EDGE and its quad band....hmmmm if only that baby was running Windows Mobile 5....it would be a killer phone!

If Cingular does indeed carry it I may have to test it out! This will be my first deviation from a windows based phone to a regular phone in nearly two years.

look for the phone sometime in mid sept. with a 2yr contract price of$249.99 and 1yr being $299.99

I think I posted some images you can find from the FCC PDF file for testing.

the D307:

And these pix from Slashphone.com of the D550...

Ah! THis one fell through the cracks since the announcement found on the FCC. Usually a phone of this type would get some discussion on the forums before found by an actual cingular employee!

THis is great news though...seems pretty handy. Wonder if the blackberry client will be able to be integrated by a SW upgrade.

Also hope there's a external memory slot...

Well see i guess?

hopefully it will have a speakerphone also..

it's "interesting" in my opinion. Those photos of the black unit are incorrect, the flip opens the other way.

No speakerphone

IHAP if you have seen it what do you think so far, and is it a long way out?

The photos of the black one is not the d307. it's the 550 displayed at communicasia event. different phone.

On Saturday, 9/10, I talked to a rep at a Cingular corporate store about upcoming phones listed on his price sheet. The Samsung d307 was listed, as well as the following: lg f7200, samsung d357, lg f9200, moto v557, nokia 6102,
nokia 6682, and nokia e1 (ROKR).

I didn't know about the d307 so didn't ask re the details. But now that I have looked at it, the d307 does look like a sweet phone; the anticipation of the d307 may keep me from getting the ROKR!! I will be asking the guy about the detaills re the d307 and will post if I can so do.
