Which Phone is better? P207, P777, or s710a?

Hello Everyone,

I am wanting to know which phone out of these 3 is better. All of the features are about the same. I know that only the s710a has a speakerphone and bluetooth, but I don't use these features. I am looking for a good, sturdy phone. I have the s710a right now, but I don't really like having such an expensive phone. So I'm going to sell it on eBay, and buy one of these other 2 phones. I just need help in deciding which one.

Hey there KG4SOY,

Sort of funny how this represents nearly all the basic form factors other than candybars: Your phone is a swivel, the P207 is a clamshell, the P777 a slider.

Here's my two cents: The P777 doesn't have quite the feature set as the SE, but packs in quite a bit. The dedicated MP3 player (and button) is kind of nice if you're into that. I'm betting the camera isn't as good as your s710a, but I don't know if that's important to you. I did think the P777's audio (in-call, receiving) was quite good for a Samsung. I don't like the dual-color LED blinky light, and how it won't remain in a different blink pattern if you've missed an SMS/voicemail.

The slider is a personal preference. When closed the buttons are a bit low on the phone. But I did enjoy being able to slide the thing shut to end a call. Reminds me of the Nokia 8890. It's a nice feeling.

I haven't owned the P207 yet. Darn web-only sales! The voice dictation thing sound gimmicky. I think the black finish is a fingerprint magnet. I don't know how picky you are about that sort of thing.

If you're looking for sturdy, I'd probably place my bets on the s710a you have now. Seems really quite sturdy vs. the others. The P777's slider felt cheap to me.

My girlfriend just got the P207, and it is a finger print magnet. It is also the most heavily branded phone I have ever seen in my life, which is dreadfully tacky. RF also suffers, and is only a bit better than the s307 she had before.
