worth getting a nokia 8290???

had one of these years ago. was a decent phone. they're like $30 tops on ebay. was thinking if it was worth getting one of these as a backup phone. but was wondering if it'd be worth it since its only GSM1900. i'm mostly in the Buffalo, NY area, or NYC area. i'm a cingular n00b, so not sure how the GSM1900 coverage is in those areas. any help is appreciated. thanks.

In the NY state and NYC areas I highly advise avoiding any phone without 850...
