i have been trying to send ringtones to my scp 5300 and they get to the fone and when i try to install them it says "data error 901 insufficent memory" and the phone has plenty of space. Any help is appreciated. thanks

Many of the older phones, like the 5300, only allow you to download files of a certain size, even though you may have more than enough memory to accomodate it. I can't be *positive*, but if I remember correctly, I think the limit is like 65kb or something like that... someone more knowledgable will come along, I'm sure

ok thank you now my next question is how do i get ringtones so small in size i try to make the ringtone shorter in length but it doesnt get smaller. what can i do?

How are you converting them? Try converting the .wav file to mono instead of stereo before converting it to .qcp

That should help out some. Also maybe try lowering the sample rate and/or bit rate.
