HoFo veteran needs PDAPhone recommendation & advise getting it
I have been around HoFo for a long time and helped a lot of people out, driven firmware initiatives, reverse engineering and what not. I have been out of the community due to hectic work life. If someone can help me out here and suggest some phones / plan scenarios please do let me know.

PDA Phone Needs:

Atleast TriBand and Bluetooth.
(Added benefit Wifi in built or with Add on Card)

Outlook Calendar Synch
Address / Email Synch
To Do List
Reminders
Ability to take notes:
- Plain Text
- Structured Text (more organized.. ie like or similar to OneNote or Similar tree based notes / thoughts)
- Audio Notes ?
Media -
- Audio Recording/Playing (which formats)
- Video Recoring / Playing

Ability to have or create "custom Address / Phone book scenarios" and dial through them.
A custom scenario is when I am in a certain city travelling and I feel like getting in touch with some of the people in that city I should be able to filter my address book or look at a subset of local numbers. That way I can focus on calling that SHORTLIST versus looking through the entire address book and skimming through the names remembering who is in the city / state?
THIS WAS JUST AN EXAMPLE.

If anyone has a PDA Phone with default similar app or a custom one that would be interesting.

PROVIDER Needs:

I am currently with T-Mobile and am off the CONTRACT and on the month to month scenario. I was suggested by someone on HoFo to take my number and go to Cingular for a 30 day trial and then come back to T-Mo to AVAIL of the NEW ACCOUNT PHONE BENEFITS.

I am thinking its probably worth the "effort".

Also, I am considering that it might be worth it to even pay the ETF $200 contract cancellation fee to get a REALLY GOOD phone from Cingular or T-Mobile at a value price directly via some other reseller (Intelenet Wireless, A1 Wireless others, amazon).

WHAT DO I REQUEST FROM YOU:

1. I basically want to get suggestions on good PDA Phones. (provider or non provider)
2. Suggest non provider and provider sources and prices
3. Suggest WORTH SCENARIO where I can take one and cancel the contract and still be worthy buy.

A Treo 650 would be close. A Nokia 9300 or 9500 would also come really close.

I would say the Treo 650 matches what you're looking for very closely.

The Treo 650 will meet your needs. Since its using the Palm OS platform, what isnt stock can be done via 3-party apps. When you get the Treo 650, Id recomend that you get the unlocked version so you will get the latest SUPPORTED software version and nothing is locked out. About your voice recording needs, the Treo 650 doenst do that stock but you can get SoundRec from infinityball.com which is free. If you already happen to have a tungsten T3, then you could beam its voice memo app to the Treo 650 and works totally fine (got that app on mine and works great!)
