Thinking of getting a smartphone and I am so confused on which one to get .. NO I dont want the Motocrap MPx220, heard it has a lot of problem. May be you guys can help me out.. Both look awesome and cost the same price... Please let me know which to get and why..

Thanks!

The MPx220 does not have a "lot" of problems. They've been addressed in the new firmware versions.

If you don't like the flip design and can afford it, get the sp3i. The joystick makes a world of difference.

For what - gaming yes, otherwise no.

But the fact is the rocker action button on the 5600 can be a pain until you get used to it. At first I never could get it - so instead of the action button it would go up or down - but after a month or so I am an expert

Basically the price difference is substantial for me between sp3i and 5600, but when I got mine I could not make the choice for there was no sp3i.

I also couldn't find an sp3i when I got my smt 5600, at least not for a reasonable price...the SMT ended up being $200 after rebate...anyway, I agree the rocker switch is the worst pitfal of the audiovox phone...but all in all, i think it's well worth the lower price compared to the sp3i...especially if you plan on moving to a WM5 device in the next year. I opted for the SMT more for that reason, w/in the year or two, I can spend to move to a WM5 device and unload my SMT 5600 on ebay or something...

If you are looking at unlocked phones, you might as well go w/ the sp3i though...not sure the price diff at that point would be significant...

Wasn't their a problem with the joystick on the SP3i??

I remember reading a few reviews where they said it stopped working or in one case even came off.

They're the same price if you think $600 and $250 are the same. lol

Having had both I would go with the 5600, it is a lot cheaper and you don't have to worry as much about getting robbed or dropping the phone (cause it is cheaper).

The keypad on the SP3i looks nice, but some have major quality issues.

I know 3 people with this phone and while they all love it, 2 of them report that after the first few weeks the joystick became very loose and the third reported that the joystick fell off. I do believe that the joystick is the biggest downfall of this device.

Actually it $50 more.. I got a Brand new I-mate Sp3i for $300 shipped!!

For $50 more I think the SP3i is worth it than the Audiovox...

I hope I enjoy my Sp3i.. Cant wait for it to arrive..

What do you guys think?

.........I think your gonna have a malfunctioning and or broken (fell off) joystick in a couple of months.

Posted by: josh64fx

Its got 1 years warranty... SO lets see.. If it breaks, its getting replaced and going in fleebay

Yea thats true......It just would piss me off if the big blue button on my MPx 220 just fell off lol
