K so i was using a Box Wave one... (not sure which one it was) And it was ok... But for a few days now i have been using no protector and i must say i love it!!!! Soooo Soooo much cleaner and just looks so much nicer... So two questions...

1. Anyone use a protector which looks like there is none on their to begin with? (if so which and a link please)

2. (and most important!!!) for those of you who do not use a protector... How is your screen? Does it have scratches on it or does it hold up well?

Thanks all

1. Boxwave Crystal. Once installed you don't know it's there.

2. I always use one.

I've had my treo for just over 2 months. The hubby and I have procrastinated on getting protectors. At the same time that I want one, I really don't. I hate the way it makes the stylus feel when it touches the screen, like it's sticky. You also have to put a little more pressure on it.

I have no scratches and no loss of sensitivity on it. I suppose it's how gentle you are with it, and I always baby my electronics. But if you make sure to take good care of it, I don't see how you should have any problems.

Some people claim that if you don't use one, you'll get micro scratches blah blah, I suppose I'll see in due time. However, I think it's just a myth.

Anyone else use no protector??? Opinions?

my vote goes for the EXiM screen protector which is also 100% clear. they're simply the best IMO.

Why do you say that? And where do i find them?

there are some protectors that have a sort of textured surface and are much more comfy for stylus work than the "crystal clear" ones. i used to use one like this on my handspring visor back in the day. they did slightly "fuzz" the screen but it wasn't at all troublesome.

i'd love to find one like this for a 650...

I second EXiM as the best screen protector. Crystal clear, you will not know it's there. Feels and looks the same as the screen it is protecting. And no loss of screen sensitivity. I bought one for my Ipaq Hx4700. After I used the one for the Ipaq, I got one for my V3, Ipod and PSP (I replaced a Hori screen protector with this one). And now since my Treo 650 will be here next week, I have ordered an EXiM screen protector for that.

Try this eBay store. They have EXiM screen protectors for whatever you want.

I couldnt have said it better myself.

the EXiM protectors are very, very hard to tell they are even on a phone's screen.

and indeed, they are so thin that they do not affect a touch screen's sensitivity one bit.

NuShield... can't tell it's there when the screen is off, but slight fuzziness when it's on. Otherwise, when using the stylus, can't tell that it's there. I'm very happy with it. Beats the old WriteRight's that I used on my Zire 71. While those were crystal clear after the bubbles naturally resolved, it did impart a different feel to the screen when using the stylus. I'll trade crystal clear for perfect stylus functioning any day.
