Help with G51 please

bought this g51 and been using it for 2 days, the problem is that when the phone is idle for some time, it shuts off on its own, any ideas? is the phone defective?

Sounds defective cause I have two of them and they both work brilliantly.

It does have an auto power-off, but it only does it at a set time of day. I assume yours shuts off multiple times in one day so is likely defective.
Is the battery clipped in tight? Are the contacts clean and tight.
Can you try another battery?
Is the SIM in OK?
Check the auto shut-off: Menu, [8]Applications, Clock, Power Off Time.

yeah, I was going through the menu and saw the auto-shut off but it is disabled, also checked the SIM and seems to be ok, I had the same SIM in a motorola v400 until yesterday, and the battery seems to lock tight in the phone so I have no idea what this could be
