OEM vs. non-OEM battery. Does it matter?

The title pretty much says it all. OEM batteries are very expensive- however I noticed their capacity is 1100 mAh whereas the capacity on some of the chepaer non-OEM batteries is about 900 - 1000 mAh depending on which one you look for. Does it really matter- does capacity refer to how long my battery's going to last? What do yall think? Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking, Ive found non oem batteries do not last as long as the original ones, regardless of the mAh rating.
