I would not blame you if you just say "stuff them.....let them find out their info elsewhere". Mores the pity, I for one would love to have some first hand feed back on stuff like battery performance, speed, multitasking etc, etc. On being the first to own the P800 - this is definitely a "two-edged sword". On the one hand it feels great to have a new piece of spiffy technology in your mitt when noone else does, on the other hand you run the risk of feeling like a complete dufus if the full release ends up having different software and a number of hardware bugs. I got my T68 very close to their first release in europe (travelling through Frankfurt at the time) and was one of the lucky ones. At that time I remember that various forums were full of people who had serious hardware and software issues with the phone whereas I am still using the original software and have only had the phone lockup a couple of times (knock on wood). Although I would dearly love to see the p800 out sooner I also want to own one that isn't going to be a pain in the arse. Given that I have mine pre-ordered through mphone (number 40 on the waiting list) I am guessing I won't see that pretty little machine until sometime in March. By that time I suspect most of the bugs will have become apparent. Oh well at least my bluespoon should arrive by courier today....that along with a new tablet PC (on order) should keep me busy for a few weeks anyways. |
