I find it kinda annoying...it catches too much attention in some quiet places...

i think they made it to prevent you taking spy pics.....

I wanted to take some pics of the pretty chicks on the street and train....and stores...now i couldn't just bcoz of the sound!!

i love that sound.... what if you turn off all the sounds in the personalize menu... just before you take a pic... i think that might work...

nope....can't get rid of it...not even quiet mode or turn all tones off.

so i guess all you can do is to caugh or fart when it shoots... so then you wont get the pretty ladies distracted....

Here's a trick.... carry around a cheap disposable cardboard camera... then when you want to take a picture with of a girl with the gd87, just take out the cardboard camera and point it at the floor or out the window... (but hold the GD87 facing the girl) ... They'll think you're taking a picture of the floor or something outside the train.... heheh

problem was that I was in a japanese bookstore and saw a few pretty j-girl...
if they are from japan...they must know something about the built-in camera for the phones....and with the stupid sound..i just couldn't do anything...hahahahaha
