vi-2300 software ?

Alright, i've been stumped here for the last hour now. My friend bought a data cable/software cd combo via ebay, all new in the packaging. The software, futuredial snapsync doesn't reconize the phone, nor will it work using the other sanyo models. I've also tried bitpm with no success either.
I have a 8200 here that will work fine with both softwares and cable, so I know the stuff works, just not with his phone. If anyone has an answer, lemme know. Just need to know what is the correct software to use.

Data Pilot works with 2300 but you can not transfer java games and ringtones are midi only cost is $80 american
