Just bought the verizon Treo 650 tonight, and it works great so far, but I remember the HS-850 wasn't compatible with the Treo 650, just want to check with you guys if it's compatible or not.

Thanks

do NOT, I repeat, do NOT get the HS850 to use with the Treo 650. its been said time and time again that those two do not work well together.

I personally know this because one of my buddies who owns a 650 went out and bought an HS850 even though I told him not to. he sits there and argues with me all the time about how its normal for his HS850 to take 5 or 6 rings before it will pick up on an incoming call. I told him it isnt normal but he simply wont listen to me so whatever. :rolleyes2

in the meantime, my Sony Ericsson HBH-660 picks up the first time, every time on my 650.

^ so that right there would be my suggestion as to which BT headset you should get.

Hi Dale,
Thanks for the reply, just ordered the HB-660 from ebay, instead of the 850.
got one quick questions though, will Treo pass the Caller ID info to the 660?

I've used a HS850 with the Treo 650. It works great!

As long as you can get used to the anoying delays and not being able to auto connect on call outs.

I've tried the HBH-660 and it works great.
I am sticking with the TWH because it also works great but seems to be most compatible with the 650.

I recommend either the 660 or the TWH. Don't even waste time with the HS850.

Your will see the phone number, but not a name. To me the caller ID was useless. The battery indicator was nice.

Not certain about the hs850 but im using the hs810 with my T650 and works fine.

My wife uses the HS850 with her Treo 650 and it works fine for her. Her only complaint is that she has to press the button when making a call to activate the headset. Other than that, it works flawlessly. That being said I prefer the Treo Wireless Headset that PalmOne sells.

I have the 650 (actually two of them - check out my 'for sale' of the Canada Ultimate Smartphone) and Treo's Bluetooth headset.

The darned display on the unit I use keeps coming on when the headset is powered up and the volume (outbound) is low. There's a tip that says to check a box - but I'll be darned if I can find what they say to look for.

I'm guessing it's time to upgrade from 1.05 ROW to 1.12???

I was wondering what works BEST with the unit.

I have sold a Cingular Treo 650 with the Motorola HS850 headset and the customer has no complaints with calling with it. Works prefectly.

i have the hs 850 with my treo 650.. and i have no problems... the se 660 is more compatible then the 850.. but i like the looks of the 850 more... and for me i only get a 1-2 sec delay sometimes its instant when i get a call and pick up... only draw back is when i want to make a call i have to re-connect ... which is not hard.. all you do is take 1 sec to press it.. and then make a call out... plus reason i like hs 850.. with my use... i only have to charge it once every two weeks...

I have Cingular and there are no PRE built in Bluetooth Restrictions on thier phones. I use the HS850 and the 650, and on the 650 i use BTMute to quicken the bluetooth response time and I have no problems. thats why Cingular Rocks...*****es.....
