Just got Treo 650, reception = not as good as my other phone?

Hey there, first time poster, long time lurker here.

Anyways, I just went and got a treo 650, and my other phone is still activated.

While my old phone (LG VX4500) has full service, my treo 650 only has 1-2 bars.

What can I do about this?

From my experience the number of bars is less signifigant then actual usage to determine signal strength. I've had phones where the bars are full strength and a phone with 1-2 bars pulling in a strong signal. Both worked fine.

Ok, another problem, I tried installing some apps from the mytreo.net site, and now my 650 just keeps restarting.

how can I fix this or uninstall the apps?

Edit: Nevermind, I figured out how to delete them.

Can someone give me some recommded free app's that they know are compatable and wont cause stability issues and what they do?

Also, how can I make some mp3's on my SD card my ringtone?

For apps do a search.. There have been some threads with alot of recomendations...

Ring tone... Use Mring... or Ringo Pro (i use ringo)
