Hi Guys,

Been an avid reader of the forum. Did some searching, but seems to have a lot of possiblilities from different people and their opinions, so would like confirmation before I jump the gun and buy it.

Basically someone is selling their Sprint GSM Treo 650. Its used and I was planning to buy it, unlock it, and then use TMobile service...I have a sidekick data plan only right now and this is the sim card that will go into the Treo. Will this work? Any possible conflicts? All functions of data usage(text, email, instant messenger, internet) will work? Or do I also need to make a change with Tmobile's service?

Thank you so much for any help and advice ahead of time.

Sprint phones are CDMA. Meaning no SIM card slot is available for your T-Mo SIM.

oops Just re-read..didn't know Sprint had GSM phones.

I have asked the seller to confirm, but it does seem like Sprint might have GSM, but their website only says CDMA...anyone can confirm for me?

help the noob out, cuz I think I saw a thread when I searched that they had Sprint service and converted to Tmobile on their treo.

Doesn't Exist.
Sprint/Verizon = CDMA
AT&T/T-Mobile/Cingular = GSM

I would guy this is on eBay because that is the only place I have ever seen the Treo listed as a CDMA & GSM, but it's either one or the other.
