Pro's: 1. Small size. 2. Excellent screen. 3. 100% compatability with Microsoft outlook, calendar and tasks. 4. Active sync is fast and easy. As soon as you plug the phone in, active sync starts. 5. Phone is easy to setup with your PC because it is Microsoft. 6. Nice email client. 7. Phone works with Mymail. 8. On board camera and video camera. 9. On board MP3 player. 10. Good build quality. 11. Mini SD slot. 12. Cool windows interface which is easy to use. 13. Easy to navigate from application to application. 14. Easy to use. Con's: 1. Like a computer this phone takes a while to boot up. Takes too long. 2. Like a computer, this phone takes a while to shutdown. 3. Like a computer, this phone freezes and locks up. 4. Phone does not seem to multitask very well (i.e phone slows down when you are typing an SMS and someone calls). 5. Lack of touchscreen (hey, I am use to a Palm). 6. Lack of a stylus (hey, I am use to a Palm). 7. I could only get 2,700 contacts into this phone (contacts are stored on board). 8. Lack of QWERTY keyboard (hey, I am use to a palm). 9. Keypad is too small for T9 input. 10. Keypad has an annoying blue backlight which is hard on the eyes in low light (not dark) conditions. 11. Video playback is choppy even though it is MPEG4. I like the phone but if it continues to lock and freeze up (much much worse than a Palm), I may take it back. I am sure glad there is a choice of operating systems for phones such as Palm, OS and Windows Mobile. If Windows owned this market, cel phones would suck! This product reconfirms how good Palm is. Symbian is pretty good too. The Windows OS does not wow me. All and all, this is a nice feature rich phone in a small package. The multimedia capabilities and messaging features are best in class for a phone this small. This phone is great for accessing emails on the road and accessing your contacts and calendar. The email client is much better than my 6820. |

if you do too much on a Mac at once, it'll crash... is that a microsoft problem as well? how about when my linux crashes... should I blame microsoft? a cell phone isn't meant to replace a computer/pda, even if has all the same functions... remember, your running on a 200-300MHz processor... not a 2-3 GHz... and a CON was only 2,700 contacts?! most people are lucky to hit 50, or even 100 contacts, and 2,700 is a CON?? |
