Buying Unlocked, Branded Cingular mpx220 for use on tmobile....???

hey guys...about to buy an mpx 220 from ebay and the phone itself is cingular branded but unlocked. The problem is that i use tmobile. Wondering if all the gprs and interent settings could be changed on the mpx220...just worried because its cingular branded.

anything else i should be on the lookout for?

I just realized that I don't have the T-Mobile settings on my blog lol

Works fine on T-Mobile, that is exactly what I am using. In fact, I removed all of the Cingular branding by flashing to the 3.45 Asian rom (I reccomend you do) and I even ordered a new center part (just below the keybad) so that I can get rid of the Cingular branding on the phone.

There are several posts with the T-Mobile GPRS settings, if you need any help, just PM me.

Is it worth to get a mpx220 cingular branding comes only the phone, battery and charger??? $240 for it... advise? silver one..but i really like the black one... If i opt for black ones... its $305.. which one?

I don't know how good that is... Are you even getting a data cable? Plus it's another $38 to unlock the phone for T-Mobile... I'd look around on ebay some or perhaps someone might be selling one around here...

The cingular branded is already unlocked. can the e398 data cable work on mpx220? is there a place to download drivers or the cd tat comes wit mpx220?? if i get it i plan to upgrade to asian rom for chinese

No sure about the data cable, you might ask in the Motorola forum.

The CD contains USB drivers (Download from Omega's Blog)
Activesync (Download from microsoft.com)
Outlook XP
User Manual (Download from Motorola I believe)

Basically the only thing you will be missing by not having the CD is a licensed copy of Outlook XP

if the e398 has a CE bus then the data cable you got with it will work with the MPx 220.

I save $65 for not having CD, OEM outlook XP license, DATA cable, BOX, handsfree, what else?? Worth it? But I really do like black though.... Can asian rom allow you to send and receive chiense SMS? Anyone use SMSNotify??

I bought my data cable on ebay for $1.68 + $4.95 shipping, so look around, they're not to expensive. The T-Mobile settings are in a sticky at the top of this forum.

Hey I bought the same black MPX220 as you. Hope the guy sends out soon. I bought one thursday and havent heard from him yet... BTW I'm pretty sure the MPX220 uses the same USB cable as the Vxxx series. I believe even my old T721 USB cable will work.

Hows MPX220 speaker? Is it loud when it rings using MP3?? I have E398 and it's just awesome. That's the only thing I'm not willing to give up on the E398

Go to the Motorola section and MPx220. The center part was $2 and $4 to ship to the states.
