Roaming indicator

Is there any way to take that bugger off? I switched from AT&T to Cingular, now it always thinks I'm roaming! It's never going to go away, unless I take it away.

yeah... look for Omega's blog and check out registry edits. It's simple enough.

****, I just tried it and it didn't work! I even pulled out the battery! :-/

Could someone post what the registry edit is? I can't seem to find the blog or the entry.

Turn on the GPRS Available icon on the icon bar:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RIL\GPRSNOATTACH

Change to 0

Turn off the Roaming Indicator triangle:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RIL

You will need to create a New DWORD value. Call it NoRoamInd and set the Value Data to 1, if you want it back on simply change it to 0. Power cycle the phone so that the changes take affect.
