I am looking at a way to bypass the vxwpic place but need an easy setup on a mail server, any suggestions on the software for a mail server??

I suppose it all depends on your choice of OS. For me the preference is Suse Linux 9.2 with a Postfix mail server and Amavis anti-virus/spam, Vipul's Razor and Spamassassin running Rules DuJour custome anti-Spam rulesets.

Regarding setting up a functioning MMS server to work with it is another story entirely. I've spent the better part of this weekend searching these forums for a working solution and have yet to find one. I've found posts regarding MMS Diary and two other MMS gateways/servers. None of which had any detailed installation documents. I've seen posts from others stating they have them up and working, but I've yet to achive it on my RedHat Apache Web server or my Suse Postfix Mail server. I'm running multiple virtual domains on both, and all is well except MMS.

The software you want is called MMS_Diary and the good news is...
...IT'S FREE!

This requires a website that has PHP and MySQL running. Learn more and download the software at Hellkvist.org

If your ISP/Webhost has cPanel, you're in luck. See also this thread here on Howard Forums for detailed information on how to set it up.

At least one user I know found a free website that provided this. I'm sorry, I can't remember which one it was.

Hope that helps!

Humpa did it and did a great job at it. It also requires you to learn Linux to run mms diary, so unless you know how to then your set. I tried to get on a linux setup and so that was the end of that crap.

Im still looking for another wap to enable it on a secure way alot like Humpa has it within wondows.

You're right, Humpa did a REALLY nice job!

All of his contacts, web pages are listed in that thread I posted above.

You don't have to learn anything about Linux so much as you learn to change a few lines of PHP code...it's all very simple.

Have fun!
