In playing with my Treo 600, Chattermail and my hosting company's IMAP server I've found that my hosting company's server does support the idle feature. Thus when I send an email my Treo alerts me within seconds that I have a new email.

So, I have a 'market research question.'

I know users of this forum are likely more technical than most, but do you think that if I was to charge $15 Canadian / year to a IMAP/POP account that people would be interested?

Basically wondering how many others have come up with their own solutions or is there a need?

C$15.00 is a good price but there are free IMAP servers.
Bluebottle is one of them.
