i have had an 8900 and successfully put pics, ringtone, and such. but i recently got an 8910 and am using the data cable from my 8900 on my 8910. since i used brewsky 8900 on my 8900 i am trying to used bitpim to connect to my 8910. now the problem is i cant connect. i can successfully view my system files.... but i cant do anything else. i know people have done it and its possible. i have my com port for the Curitel serial port set to 5 and the curitel packet service set to 5 to because i read on a website telling me what to do that i needed them the same... but i still cant do anything i have sent a ringtone from brewsky to it but it just gives me a piano sound any help it MUCH appreciated

what service do you have?

Brewsky won't do a thing with the 8910... you have to use BitPim to upload everything...

I'm not going to venture a guess on where you upload untill I know your service provider...

Ringtones :
BitPim:

User>Sound>Ringer

after you upload all your ringers, disconnect, then open GetItNow!, go shopping, but as soon as it's "connecting" press the END key... your ringers are now in Menu>6>3

Images:
BitPim:
BREW>Shared

This is where you upload images

BREW>Shared>jpeg

This is where your camera pictures are

Agian, when your done uploading images, open GetItNow!, go shopping, and END...

doing the GIN part updates your phone's internals to let it know there's crap there...

dang thanks for also telling me how to upload the pictures because i have been searching for about 30 min... Thanks
EDIT:
i was reading on an 8910 website someone made about putting some games he got to work on a nokia phone he said he got to work on an 8910... but the folder in which you were suppose to out the file you extracted ( i forget the extension ) was in a /MA folder which an audiovox phone doesnt have any idea?

the /MA folder is for GSM phones...

AllTell and Verizon are CDMA phones...

GSM use's Java, CDMA use's BREW...

sorry!
