Pantech GI100 sms capacity help

hi guys, i own the pantech GI100 and its a pretty stylish phone, but theres quite a few downsides , and one that really really bothers me is the sms capacity. Isnt it supposed to be shared between the 13mb memory?? how come it only uses the sim cards sms capacity? so my max amount of sms msgs i can store is 30. n thats hopeless ><
can somebody kindly help me with this problem please? =[
