What Cingular SIM are you using with your Treo 650?

In two weeks I am finally picking up my Treo 650 but I have a sim question/issue to ask my fellow HoFo members. As many of you know, I work for Cingular and due to a new policy change for indirect dealers, we must exchange out any non 64k sims to a 64k sim. The question that I have is that I do not want to upgrade to the 64k sim, I have a 1st generation 32k sim. Basically what I want to know is will the Treo 650 work with this sim without a hitch. I really want to be sure of this before I spend a hefty sum on my next new toy.

BTW, I am not upgrading my plan, I am just buying it outright.

Well we have had some complications with the 32k as well as the 1st and 2nd generation Gem Plus SIM cards (The ones with the green contact side) but have had nothing but luck with the Axalto and recent generation Gem Plus SIM cards. I would suggest dropping your 32k SIM chip in a demo Treo 650 at a company store first or at least track down a friend willing to let you test it out

I can personally vouch for this. I have a 32K thats my number, and a blank 64K.
I can personally vouch that the 32K will work in the following:

Treo 600 Unlocked
Treo 600 AT&T branded
Treo 650 Cingular Branded
Treo 650 Unlocked

I have used all/popped out the SIM and experimented. Good luck, sucka.

Good. I just wanted to be 100% sure that my sim will work without a hitch. I have used my sim in a Treo 600 and it works just fine. I just wanted to be sure that I should not have a problem going to the 650 without a problem.
