vox 8615 - can't get my screensaver to animate.

i downloaded an animated gif and wanted to use it as a screensaver. i uploaded the gif to my phone using wap.. when i preview the gif in the download menu, the gif isn't animating.. when i set it as the default screensaver, it's not animating either. does anyone know what i did wrong?
