Versamail attachment problems

I have had problems attaching excel files through Docs to Go and sending through versamail. Message on the treo says attachemnt is included but when it arrives to my recipient there is no file attached.
Never had this problem before....
has anyone else expirienced the same thing? Is there a better email program/document handler to go with??

I have always been a fan of quickoffice and agendus mail but didn't want to buy them if I didn't have to.
would appreciate input.
