Does anyone know if BitPim will work with the VX4650 for transfering new wallpapers to the phone? I was checking the phone out in the store and realized once again LG missed the option to have a PLAIN background! I really don't need my background changed to a different animal every 5 seconds. I just want to make sure if I get the phone there is an easy path to upload a plain wallpaper. Thanks!

I believe you can, but you have to set the program to vx4400 I believe. I would use QPST for transfering files to the phone.

Has anyone successfully downloaded a *.bmp file AND VIEWED IT ON THE PHONE, to the vx4650. I have tried bitpim and QPST, no luck.

Bit late, but to answer your question if it still hasnt been found. I recently got this phone as a replacement for my VX4500, and I installed Bitpim (newest version) and it picked up the phone correctly right away, and have been able to upload jpg's to this phone (which I prefer then bmp files) and the newest version ups jpgs now (woohoo). and I have uploaded mp3's as well for ringtones.

Ok People I Have Searched For Days And I Can Not Find Anything On This! I Am Trying To Put Wallpapers And Ringtones On My Lg Vx4650....... Bitpim Reads The Phone Just Fine..... Transfers And Recieves From The Phone Just Fine .....but When I Do Send The Pics To The Phone The Only Thing That Shows Up Is The File Name Nothing Else.....i Also Noticed That Even Though I Save It As A .png File When I Add The Pic To Bitpim It Comes Up As A Jpg File. Why Is That? So What I Was Wondering Is If Someone Can Tell Me What I Am Doing Wrong On The Wallpapers?......and As Far As The Ringtones I Haven't Even Tried Don't Really Know Where To Begin So I Guess You Could Say I Need All The Help I Can Get Thanks

If you do a search on the vx4700, it will give you the steps on how to upload images and ringtones. Both phones have the same tree structure. I use QPST and Datapilot, but a suggestion would be to save your image from a *.png to a *.jpg first. Then I would load the picture into bitpim.
