Sanyo 4900: Made in Japan or Malaysia?

I got two sanyo 4900, one is made in japan while the other is made in malaysia. They looked identical but the one made in malaysia got better signals when i compared then side-by-side: it managed to stay in analog roaming while the other one was busy searching for a signal.

I used to believe the japan mades are better, well, not in this case.

is the japan the one that the signal is weak

i got malaysia... woopie don't think signal strength is thtat great now hehe..
