i have read every single post about the 8900 and i still cant get my data cable to work. i got drivers from futuredail, brewsky, and a data cable. i tried bitpim, different drivers and still nothing. when i try to get my pics or send files to my phone from brewsky it just does nothing, is says the port is open but the progress bar doesnt move. im an passed frustation and at anger. plz help me

I understand where you are coming from bro. My screen broke so i need to try an get all my pics off of it but i have the same problem with those programs

i have to open bitpim first and connect with it b4 i can brewsky, but now my problem is getting mp3s to work on my phone. ive tried every bitrate, codec, etc

Willie, I had the same problem for a long time. You said you read all the posts as did I, but I finally realized what I had overlooked. I was not setting my phone's port setting to 'usb diag.' After I realized this, I have had no problem uploading mp3s to my 8900 with brewsky. You have to do this often because whenever the phone is turned off, it resets back to the default 'uart main.' You can change the port setting by typing "##7678 end" on your keypad. As you may have read, "7678" spells out "port." I know how frustrating it was for me until I found out what I was doing wrong. I hope this helps or you figure it out somehow.
