it seems i have some problems.. all my pictures look grainy and checkered.. also when i go to take a video it quits and says not enough free space if i put it on max instead of mms..

has anyone tried to reflash with R374_G_0E.41.C3R_A_reflash.shx ontop of this monster pack? does that fix the problems.. i noticed one other problem, once you try to take video the screen gets dim and kinda flashes.

you can flash any new version on top of it. You just can't go backwards. I started with this MP and have flashed twice since.

i put the file R374_G_0E.42.08R_reflash_oldicons.rar on top of this monster pack and it seems to work just fine.. i still cant take video if i set it to max but oh well.

thats because you aint supposed to set it to max. You need to set it to MMS and then set mms size limit to none. Mine will go for 90 - 100 seconds before it stops. That's with
everything set to best quality and with any of the affects on. I'm kinda partial the the black and white.

I made one change to my phone after doing this MP, so that when I go to my shortcuts it also shows my web shortcuts. (seem 0032_0001, offset 58, bit 4) That one change made my reception worse, my battery life shorter and the menus extremely slower.

Of course I changed it back, that one benefit was not worth all the problems! Bummer.

No, sorry I don't believe that seem 'DONE CORRECTLY' would cause those problems. At least it hasn't on mine. How do I know? I have that seem edit on my RAZR as we speak.

I only changed that ONE seem. The web shortcuts were there afterward. I don't think I could have 'DONE IT WRONG' and still have it (web shortcuts) WORKING CORRECTLY. Sorry, I tend to take things too personally sometimes........

Did you do the MP this thread is about? What other seem edits did you do afterwards?

if you back up all original seems you can put it back where it was and start over or using a hex editor compare the loci you changed to see if you screwed it up ...I did that and made an error with 1 seem edit which became apparent when I compared and was then easy to fix.

Hey New guys, everything you need to know is on this site. You just need to research whatever you're trying to do. I'm a new guy too, I've never done this before either and I was able to find "ALL" the info required to assist with flashing my razr. I just researched it on this site and links given. They know what they are talkin' about and do a lot of hard work for people like us to figure it out.

well i thought i did all the research and thats when i was ready to start icemans mp on my new razr but when i was following the directions and ran multiflash/flex program it never found my razr in the devices column, any suggestions?

I know that it says the Unlocked Cingular (Orange) Monsterpack with Video Capture Enabled will not cause an unlocked phone to lock to the cingular network. But in my case will the fact that this monsterpack is intended for cingular users cause any problems with my phone since I am a Fido user in Canada. Basically I want to know if any network settings will change causing my phone not to work?

I am not the expert by a long shot ...I guess "j_cam" could put on the monster pack and then apply an unbranded flex to get rid of the cingular stuff ...am I correct?

Ok i have a question... I am about to flash my razor and i have read that i have to update my bootloader. I am not sure what version i have in my phone and not sure how to check it. I have downloaded the version i need but do i use PST Muti Flex tool to flash it to the new version or do i use somthing else. Thanks a lot...

I have searched... i found no info on how to exactly update your bootloader.. all i get is what version is needed. There has been so many people who have messed up there phones i'm just trying to be careful...I have read through all of the flashing a flexing guides and i think i understand how to do that but no where in those guides does it say exactly how to update the bootloader.. just what version to have. thanks for your help!!!

1. Use one of the p2k programs and delete the secure_pds_init file in the a/mobile/system/ directory of the phone.
2. BEFORE you restart the phone, go into the Settings>Personalize>Greeting menu and delete the startup message or change to something else if you'd like.
3. Then reboot the phone.
4. The key is to first delete that file, then change or delete the greeting msg, then restart.
5. The error message should be gone

I believe coming from that old firmware, you'll get video recording. Faster menus, etc....

thanks ...got the monster pack 42.10 from modmymoto ...just in case ...also used flash backup to create a restorable backup of the whole fone ...I'm all set !! much appreciated all the help!!

Really what i want is something that close to the original firmware/flex but without any branding... would that be something like a factory original MonsterPack???

I have R374_G_OE.42.09R GSMV3MXCIN01NA0F5 on my v3 and I have a few issues. It is a Cingular/ATT branded version. The date displayed comes and goes on the homescreen. The AOL software doesn't function properly. I seldom use it anyway. I mostly use the fone as a fone and for email I use webmail via Opera browser.

Further, I will soon travel to the EU (Belgium mostly) and I will purchase a drugstore simcard prepaid there. Will the firmware give me any barriers to that usage? I know I will need to enter a websession for the provider to use the web, but will there be troubles otherwise? The quad band feature will cover voice via 850/1800 and I don't know if that will cover the GPRS? This fone, of course, has no high speed radio.

I suspect some problem with the firmware.

The bootloader is 8.26. I wonder if the files above would be good for my purpose.
