Refurbished Phones on Website

My Motorola V400 is 1 year and 3 months old now and it is hurting big time. I am not allowed to upgrade until 12/29/05 and need a new phone now as my V400 barely receives calls anymore (can never hear the people speaking and every other phone call is a dropped call.)
I've noticed on the Cingular website that when you look at the phones available - several models show up with the (refurb) next to the model name and are much more affordable than the other models.
There are refurbs of the following models available on the Cingular website - re: Nokia 3120, LG C1300, SE T237. I would like to buy a refurbished Nokia 3120 directly from Cingular.
Does anyone have any experience with this or know how it works or which number to call? I called all the local corporate stores in my area and they said they have had no refurbs for over 4 months. When I called 611 - the Cingular Rep told me to go to the Corporate stores.
Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

couple things,
you can just purchase a phone off of ebay or try craigslist and it will work fine.
or you can go to http://www.cingular.com/gophone and purchase the $30 Samsung C207, which is brand new, and it will work fine.
if you also fancy, nobody is stopping you from purchasing a phone for retail price. It seems like you are into mid range phones, but can live with a low range for the mean time. Thus, retail price shouldn't be that expenisve for you.

Well 611 used to be able to ship you a full price phone, depending on their stock. Tell them your phone doesn't work right and you can't get into a store! I doubt you can get a refurb in a corporate store anyway. That smells like an online thing to clear inventory.
Depending on your budget you could order direct from the manufacturer--if they are selling no-contract, which unfortunately Nokia is NOT doing with the 3120 and 6230 right now (thanks Cingular b*stards!). If you're on a budget I'd go ebay and just order from someone with high feedback. Just make sure you get the 3120b with 850GSM. Or do the GoPhone thing (assuming the phone isn't locked out for post-paid SIMS).
I'd sell you my 3120 except I've loaned it out to a friend. Plus its in perfect condition and so cute. Not that I ever use it.

You two rule! I ended up buying the Samsung C207 off of the website for 29.99! This is a killer deal. I think it included shipping too! E-Bay cannot beat that no matter what anyone says. On e-bay the phone may be $20.00 but they charge you $29.99 for shipping. Now that is a rip-off.
Thanks again for the advice!
