Hello,

I just purchased a Treo 650 Cingular Locked and I don't know much about Palm OS. I believe that if I unlock the phone and update it with update 1.13 all of the settings will be gone. How do I saving Cingular's Internet settings to the sim card? Also, how do I view all of the minutes used on the Treo 650 (incoming, outgoing and total minutes)? Thanks for your help!

The internet settings are on your SIM card. I have a PalmOne unbranded Treo 650. Plotted my ATT SIM Card in and the Treo configurated itself. I did not have to do a thing to set any setting. Most service provider has web sites and list the settings. If you really need the settings, just go log on to your service provider and look.
I have unlimted data so I do not care how much data I use. I cannot help you on that one. I know that if I log on my ATT/Cingular site. There is minutes used and data used on My Account.

ok its pretty simple. cingular does not save their internet settings on the SIM. you can simply backup your treo and then sync back a file that has the internet settings on it. the file is called NetworkDB.PDB. It is located in: C:\Program Files\palmOne\<user>\Backup\. Once you sync this file back to your treo, as soon as you turn on the radio and register to the network, the two profiles Cingular GPRS and Cingular CSD will be back and everything will be functional again.

Here is the Cingular NetworkDB.PDB file in case you do not have it or cant find it.

My Bad. I did not know Cingular does not have that on the SIM Card. I don't recall I did anything special to get to mMode on ATT (Cingualar/Blue). May be I did enter the settings, now I am confused. LOL!!!!!!!!!

How did you get Cingular to give you an unlock code? I tried a few days ago and they told me that they NEVER give out an unlock code (which I know is B.S.). I told them that I am traveling overseas and I want to be able to use a prepaid foreign sim card. They told me that it would be the same as giving me a credit card to buy a porsche (I did not understand that either).

I couldn't get the unlock code for mine either. Tried many many times, and AT&T has a long standing policy that does not let them give the unlock code to anyone.
