Very bad reception with a SX66

I have been using a Motorola MPx220, I loved the way it worked with outlook, and bluetooth, so I thougth it would be nice to have a true PDA for notes etc and a phone in one. before I used my MPx220 & an HP4705 pda for making notes etc.

I have had this phone for a little less than a week, the signal reception has be horrible, the case that holds the phone doesn't do a good job staying on the belt, I have had issues with making a call and having no audio, anyone else have any expierence with this phone? Do I just have a lemon or is it the phone?

Please let me know what you think, I'm open for suggestions, also If I keep this phone/pda what is the best case for it?

Try the pocket pc forums. They may have a newer rom they can point out to you.

What ROM version are you using? I noticed a lot of my problems went away when I upgraded the ROM on mine.

See xda-developers.com for custom ROMs as well (under the BlueAngel section).

Radio Version: 1.02.10

Protocol Version: 1337.35

Ext ROM version 1.33.110 WWE

any idea if this means I need to get my rom updated?

There is a newer ROM, extended ROM and also radio available, I'm running:

Rom version: 1.40.00 WWE
ROM date: 03/10/05
Radio version: 1.12.00
Protocol version: 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.40.110 WWE

Make sure you are using the newer 64K SIM
