Hi...I plan on getting a Nokia 6225i from (METRO PCS).

I have a PDA which has Bluetooth...and i was wondering is it possible to use my Nokia 6225i to access the Internet, even though Metro PCS does not offer a 'Web Service Plan' - like the other cell phone providers such as, T-Moblie, Cingular etc..which charge a monthly fee for Data Access.

Metro PCS does not offer any type of Data Service Plan. So am I still able to gain access to Internet on my Bluetooth PDA..without worries of extra Fee's etc?

Any type of insight will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,

No it is not possible. If your phone cannot access the internet through your current cell phone service "provider", you will not be able to use your cel phone as a "gateway" to get other device on the internet. However, it looks like it is possible if your cel provider offers internet access

I have the same phone and service. I am pissed that you cannot assign different MP3 ringtones for the entries in your phone book

Sorry I just realized you wanted to use the PDA as a gateway and connect the phone through the PDA to the internet. I don't think that is possible. I have been trying to do that with my computer and phone. I think the phone would have to support PAN,, and the Nokia 6255i doesn't

So far it looks like you can use the phone as a gateway and get other devices out through that.. providing your cel phone provider offers internet.
