Problem installing drivers (LG 6070)

I recently purchased a USB cable for my LG 6070 (VX6000?) and proceeded to setup the appropriate software so I could begin to use BitPim. However uponm trying to install any drivers I keep recieving this message (where the 'Drivers installed sucessfully' message would normally appear)

Basically it installs the files, and then tells me that the installation was unsucessful because it could not locate the files?!?
I've followed through two tutorials, including the one provided by the USB cable provider, as well as several sets of drivers and they all give me the same problem.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, I'm stuck until I can get this issue resolved.
Cheers!

Fixed, looks like I had a damaged registry. Couldn't install any new drivers.

Where'd you get the USB drivers from?

The drivers I used in the end were the ones included with my data link cable.
