Black RAZR V3 problem...

hey whats up everyone...i got a black razr last week and for some reason whenever the phone is on with the flip closed and i try to open once in a while the internal screen will just go white it will make sounds when u press the side buttons and keys, but the screen is just white. so i know that its not freezing just the screen goes white so i turn it on and off to refresh this, anyone else having this problem like i said its only once in a blue moon, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? thanks in advance.

Well, FWIW, I haven't seen that happen on mine but I've only had my RAZR (a black one from Cingular) for 2 days now, so that's not much to go by.

I haven't stumbled across anyone else in HOFO posting with a similar problem and I've been reading HOFO quite a bit over the last week to research Cingular and the black Moto RAZRs (but I could have easily missed something).

Sounds to me like your phone's problem *could* be hardware-based in which case you should prolly try to exchange it/get it repaired.

Maybe someone else will post with more info or something more helpful for you.

Sorry to hear about your RAZR problems! Hope you can get it fixed one way or the other.

I have had 1 black and 4 silver V3 RAZRs return for this issue out of a batch of 140. A rare occurance but does happen, I would suggest returning it to the source you bought it from asap and request a replacement.

did not want to start another thread on a razr issue but i have a friend who could not board a plane because of his black razr...they said it can be used as a weapon..i just want some thoughts about this...would they ban all future RAZR phones?

Mhm, that doesn't sound too good...

Anyway, I've been thrilled with my black Razr until I read about the checkered-pictures when viewing, and then I noticed a hardware flaw on the external LCD (there's a border lighting on one side, it seems like the LCD itself is not aligned). So, yup, I've definitely given up on Motorola.

Oyster I think you should cancel entire contract if u could. I may have a way to get RAZRs at employee discount prices. Not sure of what the contract will look like though. Contact Me.

brought it in and made a fuss but at first they said they arnt convinced with my problems...so i asked to speak to the disrict manager and then i did so over the phone and he authorized me a new phone...it took like 1 hour but it was worth it...
