You CAN invite attendees to meetings on a Smartphone!

I have been a Blackberry user for years, and those devices (with BES) allow you to invite (and send meeting requests) attendees to meetings. This is critical functionality for me.

I decided to try a Smartphone (SMT 5600) about a month ago. I was dismayed by the fact that while you could create an appointment on the device, you could not invite anyone to the appointment/meeting.

I began search for add-on software (like Papyrus) that might allow you to do this. I found nothing. (While Papyrus allows you to attach attendees to appointments, it does not send a meeting request to the attendee--therefore useless in my opinion.)

Well, this morning I installed the free MS GAL add-on. It's available on Microsoft's site. This add-on gives you the ability to lookup contacts in your company's Exchange Server 2003 Global Address List.

What I found after installing it, is that it also allows you to invite (and send meeting requests) attendees to meetings! And it works well!

Check it out.

Man you just don't know how much I needed this!! For both the attendee's function and the fact that I can look up contacts via Exchange server. Thanks!
