I have an LGvx3100. I have the usb cable. The driver is installed. I am running a program called QPST. The program seems to work as it can see my phone. I loaded the program BITPIM. When I try to connect to the phone it says it can not open my com port. Will this program work with my phone or is there a better program to use with my phone?

You most likely have the wrong COM port selected in BitPim's settings. Set it to the same COM port that you use to access your phone with QPST.
