Hi there people, I do hope someone can help me. I have a UK (euro) 902 which I got in December 2004 on the day of it's launch in London. The phone displays Kana and Kanji (Japanese) but i can not type. All i want to be able to do is type sms and email in Japanese. I don't care if i loose the use of bluetooth or pictures take longer to save or anything like that. The phone is on uk vodafone and has been unlocked using a nuc code. I live in Leicester UK. So if anyone has any ideas, please help me.
Thanx

This has been talked about here a fair bit a few months ago, unfortunately that's all the UK 902 can do. It can display Japanese text, but it can't actually input it at all. Seems to do with the way Sharp programmed the T9 and Keitai Shoin3 input software, seems that they can't be installed together or it causes some conflict in the phone, so either one is disabled in either version (meaning T9 is disabled in the JP 902SH - no English predictive text input, while Keitai Shoin3 is disabled in the UK 902 - no Japanese input).

I'd rather de able to write jp and have no T9. But how can i achive this?

You'd need to flash your phone to the Japanese 902SH's firmware to do that. Search the forum for more information...
