L1150 USB driver and cable

Okay so Im new to the forums, so im not sure if this is even posted in the right section. I bought the USB driver and cable for my phone from ebay, I think i have it installed right but i don't think i have my phone set to the right setting for pc connection. I have the LG l1150 and i can't get the data cable to recognize my phone, can anyone help? I have the driver installed but i don't know how to set my phones settings to PC connection? Any help would be great thanks.
