Theme Problem Please Help!

START, SETTINGS, HOME SCREEN, then change the layout, color etc, to windows default

i did but the start menu is still the the new theme...how do i change it back to the way it was

no the whole start menu background is different

after you go to START then SETTINGS, you can change all aspects of the homescreen. If you are a Cingular customer, it started out as layout=cingular, and default color scheme, and I am not sure what the background is. What did it look like before? Then maybe I can help you better...

well it was a plain background....now i after i installed the theme it changed to a different one that matched the theme. i changed everything.the home screen is fine...everything is normal...except for the start menu, my redial list and the screen u see when you are connected during a phone call

so youre just talking about colors of those screens right? that is going to be in you color scheme. If you want to pick those colors yourself, not just the default use this

Do you have a image in the start menu? If you do you can get rid of it by editing the registry.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai

MSStart

If you have a entry there that has a path to a image delete it, it will default back.

EDIT: if you installed a homescreen, go to Start, Settings, Remove Programs and remove it...this will put everything back to default...if not there are other registry keys that you can change to fix this I am sure...they will be in the Rai folder that I mentioned above.

Just go into settings > 9 > remove programs and remove that theme you had installed. and then reboot You should have it back on default

nope still didnt work....the theme i used put this light blue background with all little computer in the lower right hand corner that says program...i just want the default start menu background

thanks guys, i removed the homescreen from the menu and did a reboot and it worked

I have a cab file you can run that will fix everything to default, just pm me and I will send it to you, just put it on your phone and run it and it will revert all the menu backgrounds and startup and shutdown screen to default.
